We took the plunge...

...and left my engagement ring at Bentley & Skinner for resizing down to size I. As you probably remember, my dearest Fiancé bought my ring over the internet and it has been a whopping 9 months of wearing my engagement ring on the wrong finger; it was a size and a half too large.

I've had about enough of the comments wearing the ring on the wrong finger produces. Honestly! Someone actually had the gall to ask if I was having problems with my engagement as I was not wearing my ring on the right finger!

Anyway, it was high time to get that baby resized and I'm strangely missing my engagement ring. Thoroughly worried about it as well. However, Bentley & Skinner has a very long and established history (this was taken from their website):

The appointed jeweller of both the Queen and Prince Charles!
Bentley & Skinner (Bond Street Jewellers) Ltd

Bond Street was named after Sir Thomas Bond, a devoted follower and close friend of King Charles II. Initially, in 1686, Old Bond Street was laid out, and in 1721, as New Bond Street, it was fully extended through open fields to Oxford Street. Bond Street’s fame is legendary: for precious jewels, antiques and works of art, fashion and the accessories of gracious living, its shops are unsurpassed anywhere in the world.
Bentley & Co was first established at No 65 New Bond Street in 1934. For over 50 years the company was under the sole direction of the present Director’s late uncle John Sheldon, a connoisseur of Russian descent whose magnificent collection of jewels created world-wide interest when sold through Sotheby’s in 1985.
Skinner & Co was established in 1880 and has been in the same family for three generations. The Company was first invited to supply jewellery to the Royal Family in the latter years of Queen Victoria’s reign. Bentley & Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, have between them been buying and selling the loveliest jewellery for over 180 years Today Bentley & Skinner continues in the tradition that has helped to make Bond Street a synonym for all that is excellent in the civilised world.
Specialising in fine antique jewels, Fabergé and silver, Bentley & Skinner are renowned for their unparalleled collection of engagement rings and for purchasing jewellery privately. Their unrivalled knowledge of the current market puts them in an ideal position to offer the fairest of valuations which for insurance purposes are charged at only ½ % plus VAT. The repair and re-modelling of jewellery is undertaken with the greatest care and attention to detail by expert craftsmen on their premises. As a family concern run by its Managing Director Mr. Mark Evans, personal service has always been Bentley & Skinner’s hallmark and every enquiry is treated with courtesy and the utmost discretion.

I guess that means I shouldn't worry too much as my ring is in good hands! I'm still counting down to the day I collect it, all shiny and clean. The resizing costs £75 (not including VAT and service charge). Plus once my precious is back, we can resume our search for our wedding bands!

My preciousssssssss (LOTR Gollum style). Hehehehe...
