...would do well in assuaging my guilt of not updating my blog as religiously as I should have! V's parents were around and it was fun (but tiring) times. Our first meal out as traditional fish and chips and mushy peas at Golden Hinde.

The first weekend we spent together started off with brunch at the South Kensington Creperie, followed by a great day out at the museum. I love dinosaurs!!

On the way home, we bumped into some unexpected characters. Hmm...wonder where they were off to?

Next morning, it was down to Chinatown for some good old fashioned Hong Kong dim sum...

...followed by some shopping around Regent Street. My new favourite luggage store is EastPac. Recently purchased the EastPac hand baggage bag and think it's brilliant! The wheels are so smooth, the handles never get stuck and it's sooo adaptable to your needs.

Later that evening, we hiked a fair bit before getting to Bayswater for some roast duck at Gold Mine. The walk there was long but enjoyable. Love those clouds in the background!

One of the Wednesdays, we caught the Devil's Double in the cinema. What a great movie! The actor was pretty brilliant to be able to portray two very different men so convincingly. Before the movie, we had okonomiyaki. Yumm...s

Some dinner nights were spent enjoying home cooked delicacies such as curry chicken! We stayed in playing board games as well.

We also managed to get to Kew Gardens but not before enjoying a healthy organic lunch at the Glasshouse.

Kew Gardens was massive...but we kept ourselves occupied with a guided tour and then some...uhh...other activities.

Another big thing on the itinerary was a visit to
Buckingham Palace. We spent the whole day trawling through the Royal Mews - the official stables and carriage house, the Queen's Gallery - lovely collection of art and the State Rooms - featuring the luxuriously furnished rooms used by the royalty as well as the Faberge collection and Catherine (I liked "Kate" a lot better) Middleton's wedding dress.

We wrapped up our royal day out with some wholesome Mexican street food. Speedy Gonzales would have been proud!
